This patient was a Class III orthognathic mandibular reduction case. The following series of pictures show preorthodontic, presurgical and post surgical. The first series show the patient's deformity. The second series shows orthodontic decompensation. The third series show post surgical consequenses. There are also three cephalometric tracings that show the progress of the treatment. This Patient, JC, was 22 years old at the start of treatment. Initial records were taken 9/6/79. Appliances were placed three weeks later. the presurgical decompensation and alignment was done enough for mandibular reduction surgery by 7/29/80, approximately ten months. No extractions were done. He was missing a maxillary left second bicuspid.Records were taken six weeks after appliance removal on 10/27/81. Total treatment time was twenty one months.
